Foster Success’s mission is to hear, support, and empower teens and young adults transitioning out of foster care on their journey to self-sufficiency.

We fulfill our mission by empowering those with lived experience in the foster care system to make changes that will impact their lives and the lives of their peers for the better.

There are currently 24,000 Hoosiers between the ages of 14 and 26 in foster care.

For a decade, Foster Success has built, delivered, and expanded programs focused on meeting the needs of teens and young adults transitioning out of foster care in the areas of educational success, financial empowerment, and youth engagement. Our programs and our people empower each young person to create their own journey to self-sufficiency. Incubated as a program of the United Way of Central Indiana, Foster Success spent its early years focused on supporting teens and young adults in central Indiana. Now, a majority of the young people we support live outside central Indiana.
