Foster Success ensures that teens and young adults transitioning out of foster care are educated, housed, financially stable, employed, and connected to a support system by their 26th birthday.
There are currently 24,000 Hoosiers between the ages of 14 and 26 in foster care.
For close to a decade, Foster Success has built, delivered, and expanded programs focused on meeting the needs of teens and young adults transitioning out of foster care in the areas of financial empowerment, educational success, and youth engagement. Our programs and our people empower each young person to create their own journey to self-sufficiency. Incubated as a program of the United Way of Central Indiana, Foster Success spent its early years focused on supporting teens and young adults in Central Indiana.
Four years into its work, Foster Success responded to the growing need and expanded statewide. The organization also began administering Indiana Education and Training Vouchers (ETV) and the Indiana Youth Advisory Board (IYAB) on behalf of the Indiana Department of Child Services.
