Workforce Readiness

Direct to Employment

The Foster Success Direct to Employment program supports young people (ages 18-25) who have experienced foster care with finding immediate employment. The program focuses on securing jobs for young people who want or need to quickly enter the workforce.

The program supports individuals who need:

  • 1-on-1 career coaching on information and skills needed to get and keep a job
  • Connections with employers who are actively hiring
  • Access to basic needs support, such as assistance with housing or food security
  • Access to high school equivalency programs
  • Access to job trainings, certifications, and other workforce learning opportunities

Eligibility:

  • Young adults between the ages of 18-25 who have spent at least one day in foster care on or after their 14th birthday
  • Have a desire to explore career pathways and attain employment
  • Reside in the state of Indiana
