Statewide nonprofit Foster Success has selected its new Board of Directors’ Officers and added five new Board members. The Indianapolis-based organization provides educational, financial and social support to teens and young adults transitioning out of Indiana’s foster care system.
Danny Kibble is the Board’s Chair, Kate Hussey has been selected Vice Chair, Megan Savage is the new Secretary and John Totten becomes Treasurer.
The new Board members are Indianapolis residents Marie Cameron, Katie Jackson, and Barath S. Raman, Louisville, Kentucky’s Morgan Rumple-Whiting, and Westfield’s Amber M. Williams.
“Foster Success welcomes the new board members who are graciously donating their time and variety of expertise,” Foster Success President and CEO Dr. Maggie Stevens said. “We also want to thank our outgoing board members Erin Brothers, Kevin Brown, Lolita Campbell, Freedom Smith and Grace Worley. They helped guide the organization during a period of incredible growth, and we are grateful for their service.”
Cameron is a Senior Manager of Finance and Analysis at The Heritage Group. She previously worked for IU Health in a variety of roles. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and Politics from New York University and an MBA from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business. She also serves as the Secretary of the Young Professionals Board for Firefly Children and Family Alliance.
Jackson is a lawyer in Dentons Bingham Greenebaum’s Litigation and Dispute Resolution group. Prior to attending law school, she was a member of Teach for America and taught middle school for three years in Phoenix, Arizona. She graduated with a Double Bachelor of Science in Global Studies and Justice Studies from Arizona State University and received her Juris Doctor from Indiana University’s Robert H. McKinney School of Law.
Raman is a partner at Lewis Wagner, LLP where he specializes in civil defense litigation. Prior to attending law school, he obtained his Bachelor of Science in Construction Engineering from Purdue University and worked as a field engineer for Mass Electric Construction Company. He graduated with a Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Indiana University’s Robert H. McKinney School of Law.
Rumple-Whiting is a Human Trafficking Training and Technical Assistance Specialist for ICF, a global consulting and technology services company. She completed her Bachelor’s Degree in International Studies from Hanover College. She previously held roles with the Indiana Trafficking Victims Assistance Program, the Indiana Coalition to End Sexual Assault and Human Trafficking, and served as the Co-Chair of the Southern Indiana Human Trafficking Coalition.
Williams serves as Vice President for Diversity, Equity and Belonging for the Ivy Tech Community College system. She previously was the statewide Executive Director for Employee Diversity, Equity and Belonging; full-time faculty member of Psychology; Program Chair for Social and Behavioral Sciences; and Phi Theta Kappa honor society faculty advisor for Ivy Tech Community College – Kokomo. She earned her Master of Arts in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Middle Tennessee State University and Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Evangel University.
