Angel Crone joined the Foster Success team in the fall of 2021 as the Director of Health and Financial Wellness. Most recently, she was with the IU School of Social Work where she served as the Strengthening Indiana Families Project Coordinator. In this role, she helped oversee the implementation of a multi-level, collaborative primary prevention project spanning four Indiana counties. In her new role, she helps guide the focus of health and wellness resources for young people aging out of Indiana’s foster care system. She will work to empower young people with the knowledge and skills needed to navigate healthcare systems and become advocates for their own health.
A proud Hoosier, Angel holds a bachelor’s degree in Public Health and Human Sexuality and a master’s degree in Public Health, both from Indiana University. She has spent her entire professional career working within the child welfare systems of Indiana. From mothers and babies to teens and non-traditional families, the guidepost of her work is celebrating and uplifting the strengths and voices of youth and families.
Angel was born in rural southern Indiana and holds a special interest in expanding resources to rural communities. She is a lover of cats, horror movies, and rainy days!
