“We connected with more than 1000 older foster youth in Indiana by meeting them where they were and helping them map their path to success.”
A MESSAGE FROM LEADERSHIP
It was another year of growth at Foster Success.
Growth in the number of young people who connected with us.
Growth in the number of programs and resources available to support young people.
Growth in the number of partners who joined us on our journey to support teens and young adults as they transition from foster care to adulthood.
And growth in the support you provided for this important work.
We connected with more than 1000 older foster youth in Indiana by meeting them where they were and helping them map their path to success.
Some needed a sense of stability and found that through our Basic Needs resources and pantry that you helped stock.
Others participated in long standing programs like Indiana ETV and Opportunity Passport™.
New initiatives, including the inaugural Foster Success Day at the Statehouse and the launch of Foster Success L.E.A.D., focused on empowering young people to engage in their communities to impact the systems that surround them.
As we look to the year ahead, we will continue to grow our impact by increasing the number of young people we support and the ways in which we support them.
Your support makes that possible.
Dr. Maggie Stevens
President and CEO
As chair of Foster Success’s Board of Directors, it is inspiring to witness the legacy of current and former staff members and board leadership come to fruition.
Even more powerful is the efficacy of the community of opportunity Foster Success provides to young people – opportunities most of us did not realize we had the privilege of benefiting from when we were their age.
Supporting more than 1000 young people; being a national leader in programming; doubling the size of our fundraising efforts; and harnessing bipartisan legislative support in the Indiana Statehouse are remarkable accomplishments.
The young people we support use phrases like “motivated,” “hopeful,” and “confident” to describe their futures.
Join us on our journey to ensure teens and young adults are heard, supported, and empowered.
