Mississippi Education and Training Voucher (ETV) Program

Teens and young adults who have been in custody through the Mississippi Department of Child Protection Services six months after their 16th birthday, may be eligible to receive the Mississippi Education and Training Voucher.

Eligible students may receive up to $5,000 annually for the following:

  • School-related expenses such as tuition, books, supplies, fees, tutoring, etc.
  • A monthly allowance of $150 while enrolled in school
  • A maximum of $750 annually for computer needs while enrolled in school
  • A maximum of $1,000 annually for transportation needs while enrolled in school
  • An additional $150 monthly for youth living in off-campus housing

The funds are distributed through Foster Success.

Foster Success currently distributes funding for the ETV program in Mississippi.

Dorm Funding

Students in a university or college and currently in Collaborative Care (CC) are eligible for housing per diem.

Foster Success provides assistance and support to help college students reach their goals.

Fostering Higher Education

The Fostering Higher Education (FHE) is an ongoing college readiness program designed to help those who have experienced foster care as they transition from high school into college.

Catalyst Summer Bridge

The Catalyst Summer Bridge Program is a six-week experience for those who have experienced foster care to explore college life and earn college credit!
