Morgan Rumple-Whiting

Morgan is a Black, Queer woman and survivor of sexual and interpersonal violence who lives in Louisville, Kentucky, with her partner and fur babies that are too many to count. She is also a transracial adoptee who grew up in Corydon, Indiana with two moms and has spent much of her life navigating discrimination at the hands of her community and those she loves.

Morgan completed her bachelor’s degree in International Studies with a minor in Gender Studies from Hanover College in Hanover, Indiana. Upon graduation, Morgan worked as an AmeriCorps member in New Orleans, Louisiana, working with those impacted by HIV/AIDS and providing comprehensive sex education to youth and children. She then moved back to Louisville and served as a crisis counselor and later a family advocate for the Center for Women and Families in Southern Indiana and Kentucky. Here, she supported those experiencing or impacted by intimate partner violence and sexual violence. After spending time here and working briefly for the Department of Child Services, she transitioned to roles that allowed her to support those on the ground providing direct services to survivors.

Morgan served as a Regional Coalition Coordinator with the Indiana Trafficking Victims Assistance Program for two years and then transitioned to a statewide position, serving as the Director of Coordinated Response and Systems Change at the Indiana Coalition to End Sexual Assault and Human Trafficking. She also served as the co-chair of the Southern Indiana Human Trafficking Coalition for six years. She has since continued her passion in the anti-trafficking field and now works for ICF in their Human Trafficking Collective. She truly enjoys being able to support agencies across the United States that receive federal funding from the Office for Victims of Crime for human trafficking victim services and ensuring they have support to provide the best response to survivors.
